Fun Father’s Day Weekend Events in Los Angeles

Looking for fun things to do in Los Angeles this Father’s Day weekend? Look no further! From June 14-16, there are plenty of family-friendly events happening around the city.

One of the highlights is the KCRW Chinatown Summer Nights event at Central Plaza. Enjoy sets from KCRW DJs Travis Holcombe and Jason Bentley starting at 8 p.m. This event is free to attend and promises an evening of all-ages fun.

If you’re a fan of salsa music, don’t miss the Summer of Salsa series at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes. This Friday, catch a performance by Gabrielito y La Verdad starting at 7 p.m. The event is free and showcases some of the best salsa and Cuban bands in the city.

For a taste of summer nights, head to Ivy Station’s Night Market Summer Kickoff. With 30+ local vendors, food trucks, craft beer, games, and music, this event promises a lively atmosphere. It runs from 5 to 10 p.m. and is free to attend.

Wine enthusiasts can rejoice as Friday night wine tastings are back at Barnsdall Art Park West Lawn. For $45, enjoy a flight of curated wines by Silverlake Wine, food trucks, local DJs, and stunning views of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park Observatory. The series runs every Friday through August 30.

Movie buffs will love the Movie Fridays at Downtown Santa Monica. Every second Friday of the month, enjoy a free outdoor film screening on the Promenade. This month’s screening is RENT, starting at 7:30 p.m. There will be photo opportunities, complimentary popcorn, and music by a DJ.
