Frieze Los Angeles 2024 Draws Art Enthusiasts and A-List Celebrities

Art enthusiasts and collectors flocked to Frieze Los Angeles 2024, which took place from February 29th to March 3rd at the Santa Monica Airport, marking its fifth edition. The event witnessed a bustling start as attendees poured in, making it one of the busiest editions yet. With over 95 exhibitors, the fair was smaller than the previous year, but it maintained a lively atmosphere throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of A-list celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., Ariel Emanuel, Will Ferrell, Rob Lowe, and Owen Wilson among the VIP guests. The fair’s success was evident through the high volume of transactions, with Hauser & Wirth’s president, Marc Payot, noting that it was their most successful first day since the inception of the fair.

Christine Messineo, director of Frieze Americas, expressed her excitement about the energy and global art community that Frieze brought to Santa Monica. She highlighted the exceptional works showcased by both established and first-time exhibitors, emphasizing the annual moment that unites Los Angeles’s art community.
