Fauda star Idan Amedi, known for his role in the popular TV series and his music career, was among the wounded soldiers in Gaza on Monday. Reports on social media indicated that he sustained serious injuries during an IDF counterterrorism operation.
Idan Amedi was injured by shrapnel and was subsequently transferred to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer for treatment. Although his injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening, as reported by Keshet 12 News.
Prior to being injured, Amedi spoke to N12 reporter Nitzan Shapira in Gaza, expressing that he was fine but tired. He also commented on the challenging situation in Gaza, particularly referencing the discovery and destruction of tunnels and weapons by him and his fellow soldiers.
A reservist, Amedi had joined the fight in Gaza in the early stages of the war. Documenting his service on Instagram, he emphasized the real-life nature of the situation, distinct from his role in Fauda, and expressed his motivation to avenge the victims of Hamas’s October 7 massacre.
Before gaining fame as an actor, Amedi kick-started his career as a musician, participating in the Israeli talent competition show, Kochav Nolad. Throughout his musical journey, he composed and performed numerous songs inspired by his military service in the combat engineering corps, garnering millions of views on YouTube.
