Ezra Miller‘s role in the Prime Video animated series, Invincible, has been recast following controversies surrounding the actor. In season one, Miller voiced D.A. Sinclair, a genius character who returns in season two, but is now voiced by Eric Bauza. The actor has an extensive voice acting background, with over 350 voice credits, including popular shows like X-Men ’97, Krapopolis, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Rick & Morty.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Miller’s representative and Prime Video for comment. The cast of Invincible includes notable names such as Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Zazie Betz, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, Walton Goggins, Mark Hamill, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Mahershala Ali, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin, Khary Payton, and Melise.
The controversies surrounding Miller began in April 2020, with a video surfacing of an incident in Reykjavik, Iceland, where they appeared to choke a female fan outside of a bar. The actor faced multiple incidents, protective orders, and arrests over the following two years. In August 2022, Miller issued a statement apologizing for their behavior, citing ‘complex mental health issues’ and seeking treatment.
The final episode of Invincible season two, split into two parts, is set to premiere on April 4 on Prime Video.
