In a recent Nintendo Direct presentation, exciting new games for the Nintendo Switch™ system were unveiled, giving gamers a glimpse into what to expect in 2024 and beyond. Among the highlights were the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond showcased gameplay from Samus Aran’s upcoming mission, set to release on the Nintendo Switch in 2025. On the other hand, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is scheduled to launch on Sept. 26, 2024, allowing players to embody the noble princess of Hyrule, Zelda. Additionally, a special Nintendo Switch Lite inspired by The Legend of Zelda series will accompany the game’s release.
Further additions to the Nintendo Switch lineup include Mario & Luigi: Brothership, a new seafaring RPG adventure featuring the iconic Mario Bros., set to debut on Nov. 7, 2024. Super Mario Party Jamboree promises a grand Mario Party experience on an island resort, launching on Oct. 17, 2024. Fans of Donkey Kong can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, boasting enhanced visuals and extra levels from the Nintendo 3DS version, hitting shelves on Jan. 16, 2025.
Moreover, Nintendo showcased titles from its development partners, such as DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, a revamped RPG classic arriving on Nov. 14, 2024. LEGO HORIZON ADVENTURES brings a LEGO recreation of the Horizon world with Aloy and friends, slated for a holiday release. MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics pits superheroes against each other in seven classic arcade games, set to launch this year.
