There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the much-anticipated collaboration between Lego and Dungeons & Dragons, and a recent leak of a Lego Dungeons & Dragons set has only added to the excitement.
Throughout its 50-year history, Dungeons & Dragons has offered players the chance to embark on thrilling adventures within the game’s rich universe. A key element that contributes to the memorable experiences is the diverse cast of characters and creatures that populate the world.
With this in mind, it’s crucial for Lego to incorporate these beloved references to truly capture the essence of this iconic tabletop roleplaying game. Fortunately, if the leaked images from Instagram user Pick-A-Penguin are accurate, it seems that Lego has successfully achieved this goal.
The leaked images showcase box art for a 3,745-piece set inspired by the Lego Ideas winner ‘Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End’. The set’s modular structure comprises a tavern, a tower, and a garden area, all of which can be separated and displayed individually. However, the standout feature of this set is the imposing red dragon figure, which towers over the building, breathing fire.
Additionally, the set is expected to include a complete party of Lego mini-figures, featuring a dragonborn bard, a dwarf cleric, an elf wizard, a half-orc rogue, a halfling fighter, and a human character in unassuming attire, possibly representing a merchant or NPC who will entrust adventurers with quests.
Accompanying these adventurers are a variety of creatures, both friendly and menacing, such as an owlbear, a displacer beast, a beholder, a gelatinous cube, and a small army of skeletons. Tucked beneath the bridge are a group of humanoid mushrooms, potentially adorable myconids, adding a whimsical touch to the set.
While the leaks cannot be completely verified, certain details lend credibility to the claims. Notably, the silhouettes of the mini-figures in the official Lego teaser image bear a striking resemblance to those depicted in the leak.
If the final product aligns with what has been revealed, it has the potential to become one of the most sought-after Lego sets. Fortunately, eager fans won’t have to wait long for more details, as all will be unveiled on March 19.
While enthusiasts may be saving up for this extensive Dungeons & Dragons Lego set, they can still indulge in some Lego deals in the meantime.
