Emma Stone’s Custom Peach BAFTAs Gown

Emma Stone’s Custom Peach BAFTAs Gown Took 450 Hours to Perfect

Emma Stone has been making waves with her unique style as she promotes her latest movie, Poor Things. Her wardrobe for the promotional events has been carefully curated to reflect the essence of her character, Bella Baxter. Petra Flannery, Stone’s longtime stylist, aimed to maintain Emma’s individuality while incorporating nods to Bella’s spirit through ornate brooches and pins with ‘BB’ details, and a shift in color palette to match the whimsical world of the film.

The latest homage to Bella Baxter’s spirit came in the form of a one-shoulder asymmetric bustier gown, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton. This custom gown, featuring a statement cloud sleeve and padded band, required over 450 hours and 20 meters of fabric to bring to life. Ghesquière’s attention to detail and dedication to capturing the essence of Bella’s period costumes is evident in the sheer underlay of Stone’s peachy BAFTAs red-carpet look, which exudes levity and whimsy.

Stone later changed into another custom look, a black dress designed by Ghesquière, showcasing her spirited approach to fashion. Petra Flannery emphasized the significance of custom designs, stating that they are tailored to Emma’s personality, making each piece truly special and unexpected.
