EA SPORTS F1 24 Version 1.6 Update Enhances Driving Experience

The latest update for EA SPORTS F1 24, Version 1.6, is set to bring about significant changes to the post-release driving experience. Scheduled for release on Monday, 8th July 2024, this update focuses primarily on tweaking the handling of vehicles within the game.

Following its launch at the end of May, the official Formula 1 game for this season received a varied response regarding its vehicle dynamics when compared to its predecessor, F1 23. In response to feedback, the upcoming update aims to address some key areas.

One notable adjustment in Version 1.6 pertains to the behavior of cars when utilizing medium traction control and braking with a higher engine braking setting. Previously, players could exploit kerbs without facing significant consequences, leading to unrealistic racing lines. With the new update, cars are expected to react differently, becoming more unsettled, especially when encountering sausage kerbs, which will now have a more pronounced impact on vehicle stability.

Additionally, adjustments to tyre pressure will now have a more noticeable effect on grip and heat levels in the game. The update also includes native support for the Cammus C5 sim racing wheel, faster pit crew operations, and the replacement of certain images in the F1 World compendium.

Other minor changes in Version 1.6 include improvements to pit stop times in Driver Career mode, graphical enhancements for Broadcast Pit Stops on PS4 and Xbox One, and fixes for various issues such as incorrect leaderboard placements and visual glitches.

Overall, the F1 24 Version 1.6 update aims to enhance the gameplay experience for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. This update follows the recent introduction of Fernando Alonso-themed challenges, further enriching the gaming experience for fans of the franchise.
