Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update to Combat Dragonsplague Threat

Capcom’s highly anticipated high-fantasy RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2, is set to receive a game-changing update this month across all platforms. This update brings crucial improvements, such as enhancing the reliability and efficiency of Pawns, minimizing their verbosity, and most significantly, making it easier to combat the dreaded Dragonsplague disease.

Dragonsplague, a menacing viral infection exclusive to Pawns, wreaks havoc by inducing a range of issues, from defiance and throbbing red eyes to severe headaches. Failure to detect these warning signs promptly could lead to catastrophic consequences, as infected Pawns may transform into shadow dragons, unleashing chaos and destruction upon the town. To address this alarming threat, Capcom has announced in an in-game message that the forthcoming update will elevate the visibility of Dragonsplague symptoms, reducing the likelihood of overlooking the impending disaster.

The upcoming patch, scheduled for release on April 19, will bring about a decrease in the frequency of Dragonsplague infections and enhance the recognizability of infected Pawns. Specifically, the update will make the glowing red eyes of infected Pawns more conspicuous, enabling players to identify the affliction with greater ease.

Currently, discerning the glowing red eyes of an infected Pawn can be challenging, especially if the player has deliberately given their character red eyes during customization. With the impending update, players will have the ability to zoom in on their Pawn’s faces within the status menu. If the eyes exhibit a red, luminescent glow, the recommended course of action is to either dismiss or eliminate the infected Pawn, a difficult but necessary decision.

Players are urged to be vigilant and proactive in addressing the threat posed by Dragonsplague, as swift action is essential to prevent dire consequences. The impending update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 not only aims to enhance gameplay mechanics but also underscores the critical importance of disease management within the game’s immersive world.
