Dockside Seafood Named One of the Best Seafood Spots for 2024 by Yelp

Jacksonville Beach restaurant, Dockside Seafood, has been named one of the best seafood spots for 2024 by Yelp. The restaurant, located on the Intracoastal Waterway at 2510 2nd Ave. N., earned the 11th spot on the list, just missing the Top 10. The ranking was based on factors such as the total volume and ratings of reviews between Jan. 1, 2001, and Dec. 13, 2023.

Dockside Seafood, previously known as Safe Harbor Seafood Restaurant, is part of the Southern Table Hospitality group owned by Ben and Liza Groshell. The group also includes other popular seafood concepts such as Marker 32, fish camp restaurants at Julington Creek, North Beach, Palm Valley, and St. Augustine, as well as Valley Smoke, AB Kitchen, and the upcoming Billy Jack’s BBQ.

Yelp users have given Dockside Seafood Restaurant a high rating of 4.6 out of more than 1,450 reviews. The restaurant’s menu offers a wide selection of baskets and combos featuring shrimp, fried deviled crab, fried clam strips, fried oysters, and more, served with fries, slaw, and hush puppies. Additionally, the menu includes oysters, steamed peel-and-eat shrimp, clam chowder, seafood Po’ Boys sandwiches, and tacos.
