Diane von Furstenberg, the iconic fashion designer and philanthropist, is set to launch a new collaboration with Target on March 23. The collection, featuring a 200-piece assortment of women’s, girl’s and baby apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor, and even made-to-order furniture, is anticipated to be a huge success.
The collection showcases the brand’s signature colorful prints and patterns, embodying the essence of DVF. With an affordable $50 wrap dress that mirrors the real deal, the merchandise has already generated significant excitement.
Speaking about the collaboration, DVF expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It’s very happy, it’s very fresh. It screams ‘DVF.’ You can’t absolutely deny what name is behind it.” The partnership, which has been in discussions for years, was brought to life by DVF’s granddaughter, Talita von Furstenberg, who played a pivotal role in curating the collection.
Talita, along with DVF, delved into the archives to select prints, modify colors, and create a diverse range of products, extending from kitchen and bathroom items to activewear for women and children. DVF also highlighted her excitement for the inclusion of a shower curtain in the collection.
Prior to the launch, PEOPLE had the opportunity to speak with DVF and TVF, gaining insights into their collaboration, the 50th anniversary of the wrap dress, and their definitions of success. When asked about the lessons Talita has learned from working with her, DVF emphasized leading by example rather than teaching directly. Meanwhile, Talita shared her involvement in ensuring the essence of DVF’s spirit was accurately captured in an upcoming documentary.
