Taylor Swift’s presence at NFL games has been credited with attracting more female fans, but the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders were the trailblazers in this arena.

Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Cowboy Cheerleaders director, Kelli Finglass, highlighted the impact of Swift’s appearances at boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games in 2023.

Finglass, a former Cowboys cheerleader herself, emphasized that having a female fan base is nothing new for her team.

Current DCC member Victoria Kalina shared that she had heard about Swift influencing young women’s interest in the sport.

Since Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in 2023, the Chiefs have noticed an increase in fans, particularly females, donning shirts with slogans like ‘Go Taylor’s boyfriend’ at NFL games.

Swift’s attendance at the 2024 Super Bowl further boosted viewership as her fans eagerly tuned in to catch a glimpse of the Grammy winner.

NFL commissioner Rodger Goodell mentioned in a February press conference that Swift’s presence had brought a new dynamic to the league.
