Cincinnati Health Department Warns of Potential Measles Exposure at Disney On Ice Performance

The Cincinnati Health Department has issued a warning regarding a potential measles exposure at the Heritage Bank Center during a Disney On Ice performance on March 8. Individuals who attended the show or were present in the building up to two hours after the 7 p.m. performance may have been exposed to the measles virus.

If attendees experience symptoms such as high fever, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, or a rash developing three to five days after symptoms begin, they are advised to isolate themselves until testing arrangements can be made. The health department also urged individuals with symptoms not to seek testing immediately to avoid potential exposure to others in hospital emergency rooms.

The Cincinnati Health Department assured that the risk for those vaccinated against measles is low. Further information on arranging testing will be provided by the health department in due course.

It is crucial for individuals who attended the Disney On Ice performance on March 8 to monitor their health and seek medical advice if they develop any symptoms associated with measles. Stay updated for more information on testing arrangements and precautions from the Cincinnati Health Department.
