Cheesecake Factory to Open First Location in Utah County

Utah County is about to welcome its first Cheesecake Factory restaurant as the popular chain announced plans for a new location in Orem. The restaurant will be situated at University Place, next to Dillard’s and Itto Sushi. The Cheesecake Factory will take over the space currently occupied by Los Hermanos, as confirmed by Orem city officials on Facebook. Los Hermanos, in turn, will be relocating back to downtown Provo, specifically the Knight Block building, aiming to reopen by the first week of February.

The founder, chairman, and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, David Overton, expressed the brand’s enthusiasm for serving Utah County families and visitors, stating, ‘The Cheesecake Factory has enjoyed being part of the greater Salt Lake City area since first opening there in 2007, and we look forward to being part of the community.’ Construction for the new location at University Place is set to commence immediately, with no confirmed opening date as of yet.

The announcement has been met with excitement, with Danny Woodbury, senior vice president of leasing at Woodbury Corporation, expressing his thrill at bringing the dynamic restaurant to Utah County, deeming it the perfect complement to the lineup of entertainment, dining, and shopping options at University Place. The Cheesecake Factory, known for its extensive menu with over 250 selections and more than 30 cheesecakes, will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Currently, The Cheesecake Factory operates 210 restaurants in the United States, in addition to one in Toronto, Canada. The chain already has two locations in Utah, one in Salt Lake City and another in Murray. The upcoming Orem location is expected to offer the signature generous portions, distinctive décor, and the renowned menu that the brand is known for.

As the Cheesecake Factory prepares to make its mark in Utah County, residents and visitors can anticipate a new dining experience, while Los Hermanos loyalists can look forward to its return to downtown Provo. With the construction set to begin soon, the Orem community eagerly awaits the grand opening of the Cheesecake Factory’s newest addition to its roster of restaurants.
