Cedaredge, Colorado Prepares for Annual Applefest Celebration
Cedaredge is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events of the year, the Applefest, which promises to bring together the community and visitors for a weekend filled with festivities. According to Town Clerk Jess Shelton, the event will feature an impressive lineup of 20 food trucks and 239 vendors that will transform Main Street into a bustling marketplace. In addition to the food and vendors, Applefest will also include a car show and a chili cook-off, which will be hosted by the Cedaredge Fire Department on Friday. This addition to the festival is sure to draw in crowds and add to the overall excitement of the weekend.
Local business owner David Starr, who manages Starr’s Guitars on Main Street and oversees the live performances during the festival, estimates that around 25,000 people could attend the event over the weekend. For those concerned about parking, Shelton noted that many local churches will offer free parking to festival-goers. Additionally, the Town of Cedaredge has arranged for All Points Transit shuttles to transport visitors from Confluence Park in Delta, ensuring that everyone can easily access the festivities.
