Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen is set to embark on a tour to Ottawa, Regina, and Moose Jaw from February 6 to 9, 2024. During this tour, he will be discussing the upcoming Artemis II mission, where he will make history as the first Canadian to orbit the Moon. Accompanying him on this tour will be Jenni Gibbons, the Canadian backup astronaut for Artemis II.
The primary focus of their visit will be to engage with students, sharing insights into their mission preparation and inspiring them to pursue their own aspirations. Additionally, they will deliver presentations to the general public, shedding light on Canada’s involvement in lunar exploration and the Artemis program. Local media will also have the opportunity to conduct interviews with Jeremy Hansen and Jenni Gibbons to further explore Canada’s role in space exploration.

- 1:00 p.m. ET – Actua National Conference: Presentation to 40 students in grades 5 and 6 and about 100 STEM professionals at Delta Ottawa City Centre, 101 Lyon Street North, Ottawa, Ontario.
- 3:00 p.m. ET – Presentation to 30 Inuit post-secondary students at Nunavut Sivuniksavut School, 450 Rideau Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
Thursday, February 8, 2024 — Regina
- 9:00 a.m. CT – Presentation to students and community members, followed by a question period at First Nations University of Canada, 1 First Nations Way, Regina, Saskatchewan.
- 1:15 p.m. CT – Presentation to 150 students and teachers from grades 6 to 9 at Saskatchewan Science Centre, 2903 Powerhouse Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan.
- 7:00 p.m. CT – Presentation to about 500 people from the general public.
Friday, February 9, 2024 — Moose Jaw
- 10:00 a.m. CT – Presentation to over 1,000 students aged 9 and up from underrepresented groups, in person and online at A.E. Peacock Collegiate, 45 Ross Street East, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
