Bettendorf Wrestling Coach Reflects on Team’s Performance and Looks Ahead to Districts

Bettendorf wrestling coach Dan Knight reflects on the team’s performance in the state dual championship match and emphasizes the pride in achieving second place. With the MAC championship under their belt, the Bulldogs are gearing up for the upcoming districts, which they will be hosting. Last season, the team qualified a wrestler for state at all 14 weight classes, a feat they aim to replicate this year. While challenging, Knight remains optimistic about the team’s prospects.

Currently, eight Bulldogs are ranked in the final IAwrestle poll of the season, with the team securing the second position behind Southeast Polk. Despite the tough competition, Knight believes in the team’s capabilities and is hopeful for a strong performance in the upcoming events.
