Bethesda Game Studios Announces Major Update for Starfield Game

Bethesda Game Studios has announced that Starfield, the highly anticipated game released in September 2023, is about to receive its most significant update yet. The update is set to hit Steam Beta on January 17, followed by a global release two weeks later, pending validation from beta testers.

The update is said to bring ‘over 100 fixes and improvements’ to the game, addressing various bugs, quest issues, textures, lighting, and shadows. Additionally, it will include widescreen support, improvements to sun disk geometry, and fixes for the ‘pet asteroid’ bug and planet ring shadows.

While the update is expected to enhance the overall gaming experience, some speculate that it may primarily focus on quality-of-life improvements rather than introducing substantial new content. This comes as the game has experienced a decline in player count since its launch.

Furthermore, there are high expectations for Bethesda Game Studios to unveil something related to Starfield during the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct showcase on January 18. However, there have been no indications of the release of Shattered Space, the game’s first expansion.

As the gaming community eagerly awaits the upcoming update, the question remains: Are players still engaged with Starfield?
