Beloved Soap Star and Singer Beth Peters Passes Away at 92

Beloved soap star and singer, Beth Peters, has passed away at the age of 92 after a brief illness. Best known for her role as Mrs. Whitaker in General Hospital, Peters was a versatile actress and singer who made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.

Beth Peters began her acting and musical career in New Jersey as a teenager and made her Broadway debut in 1955. Her talent and versatility shone through in various roles, from Mrs. Brady to appearances in Quantum Leap, Mr. Belvedere, and The Waltons, among others. Her portrayal of Mrs. Whitaker in General Hospital endeared her to audiences, and she went on to make successful appearances on the big screen in Kandyland, Back to School, Where Love Has Gone, and Fitzwilly.

She is survived by her son Sean Williams, step-daughters Barbara Davison and Monica Lange, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Peters’ legacy will live on through her impactful contributions to the entertainment industry, and she will be dearly missed by her colleagues and fans.
