Event Schedule and Highlights

The celebration will feature a variety of activities, including:

  • Healthy Eating Expo: From 9 AM to 11 AM in the Lagerborg Dining Room, attendees will have the chance to learn about balanced meal planning from nutrition experts. Due to limited space, prior registration is required for this segment.
  • Qutenza Neuropathy Treatment Demonstration: Scheduled for 11:30 AM at the Reppell Diabetes Clinic, this demonstration will showcase innovative treatment options for managing neuropathy, a common complication of diabetes.
  • Vendor Fair: From noon until 4 PM, a diverse array of vendors will offer health and wellness products, along with healthy snacks and exciting giveaways. This fair provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore various resources available to them.
  • Breakthrough T1D Walk: The event will culminate with a community walk at 4 PM aimed at raising awareness and support for Type 1 Diabetes. This walk encourages community participation and solidarity in the fight against diabetes.

Jodi Bodenhamer, a Diabetes Educator at the clinic, emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “World Diabetes Day is an opportunity for our community to come together, share knowledge, and support one another in the fight against diabetes. We encourage everyone to join us, whether you’re managing diabetes yourself or supporting loved ones.”
