AT&T and Verizon Face Phone Call Outage Across US

AT&T and Verizon are currently facing an outage that is causing disruptions in phone calls across the United States. The issue, which is impacting call connections between carriers, has been acknowledged by AT&T. The company states that they are working diligently to identify and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Verizon, on the other hand, has stated that its network is functioning normally, but customers in the Northeast and Midwest regions are encountering difficulties when trying to call or text individuals served by a different carrier. The exact cause and start time of the outage remain unknown, although data from Downdetector indicates that the problems may have commenced around 2 PM ET.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has also taken notice of the situation and is currently investigating. Reports have surfaced that consumers in various states are unable to make wireless calls, prompting the FCC to look into the matter.

Earlier in the year, AT&T experienced a significant outage that affected numerous customers nationwide. Following the incident, the carrier issued an apology and provided a $5 credit to impacted customers.

As the telecom giants work to resolve the current outage, customers are advised to stay updated on the situation and reach out to their respective carriers for any necessary assistance.

Stay tuned for further updates as the story develops.
