Aston Martin has officially unveiled its latest Vantage GT3 for 2024, coinciding with the global debut of the new Vantage road car. The new Vantage GT3 made its first appearance at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in January and is set to compete in its inaugural FIA WEC race in Qatar next month.
The 2024 Vantage GT3 represents a significant evolution from the retired Vantage AMR GTE and GT3 models, which debuted in 2018. Built on Aston Martin’s bonded aluminium chassis and powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine, the new GT3 features a comprehensive aerodynamic package, revised suspension, and advanced electronics.
The carbon fibre nose of the Vantage GT3 incorporates a full-width laser light and a shorter splitter, designed to move the center of pressure rearwards for improved stability. Additionally, large louvres in the front and rear wheel arches help reduce lift and drag, showcasing the car’s advanced aerodynamics.
Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin’s global chief brand and commercial officer, emphasized the company’s dedication to producing top-tier sports cars and demonstrating their capabilities on the track. He highlighted the close relationship between Aston Martin’s road and race programs, with the Vantage GT3 benefiting from expertise derived from Formula 1 and Aston Martin Performance Technologies.
Designed to meet all FIA GT3 class regulations, including the new LMGT3 category, the 2024 Vantage GT3 is equipped with torque sensors and aims to continue Aston Martin’s legacy of success in endurance racing.
