Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis Defends World Indoor Pole Vault Title in Glasgow

Sweden’s Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis successfully defended his world indoor pole vault title in Glasgow on Sunday, overcoming an early setback to secure victory. The competition saw Duplantis clear a height of 6.05 meters, as he narrowly missed out on breaking his own world record with three attempts at 6.24m. American Sam Kendricks claimed the silver medal with a best clearance of 5.90m, while Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis secured the bronze with a height of 5.85 meters.

Despite a challenging start that left him grimacing on the mat, Duplantis showcased his experience and skill to emerge victorious. The competition saw several athletes bow out as the field narrowed, ultimately leaving Duplantis as the standout performer.
