Apple users experienced a widespread outage on Wednesday night, affecting the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music. The disruption impacted users globally on their iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The outage, which began at 6:31 PM ET, also affected other Apple services such as Arcade, Audiobooks, Books, Podcasts, Fitness Plus, and the new Apple Sports app.
According to Apple’s system status page, the outage was resolved by 7:35 PM ET, and the services are now operational again. While the @AppleSupport account did not provide a reason for the outage, it directed users to the status page for updates.
Reports of issues started surfacing just after 6 PM ET on Downdetector. Apple has been contacted for a response regarding the problems. Users encountered difficulties connecting, updating or installing apps, streaming TV shows, and playing music during the outage. This incident follows a recent global outage that affected WhatsApp and other Meta services, including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
As of April 3rd, 7:55 PM ET, the outage has been resolved, bringing relief to Apple users who rely on the affected services for their daily activities.
