On Tuesday, Apple TV+ released the full-length trailer for the upcoming sports docuseries, The Dynasty: New England Patriots, which delves into the football team’s reign over the NFL during the 2000s. Based on the acclaimed, best-selling book by Jeff Benedict, the 10-part limited series will provide an in-depth look at one of the most dominant sports dynasties of the 21st century.
At the heart of this ‘documentary event’ are quarterback Tom Brady, coach Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft, pivotal figures in the transformation and dominance of the New England Patriots. The series promises to offer ‘the definitive story of the team’s remarkable reign,’ providing insights into the franchise’s 20-year journey, from the chemistry fueling six Super Bowl wins to the internal strife that sparked a turf war.
Directed by Matthew Hamachek and produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, the docuseries will feature never-before-seen video footage and audio files from the Patriot franchise’s archives. Additionally, players, coaches, executives, officials, rivals, and individuals with access to the team during that time will share their perspectives on camera.
Notably, the series marks Brady’s latest reflection on his career, following his previous features on Facebook Watch and ESPN+. The former quarterback, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2020 to 2022, has also garnered attention with his ongoing podcast, Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray.
The Dynasty: New England Patriots is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Feb. 16, offering fans an insider’s look at the team’s journey to greatness and the cost it entailed.
