Apple Reclaims Title as World’s Most Valuable Company After WWDC Keynote

Apple has once again reclaimed its title as the world’s most valuable company following the WWDC keynote that unveiled a suite of AI features for its devices. The stock price surge has propelled Apple past Microsoft in market value, with shares surpassing $200 and setting a new all-time high.

The introduction of Apple Intelligence features for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac has been a significant driver of this surge. These features include text summarization, custom emoji and image creation, priority notifications, and enhanced Siri capabilities. To access these features, users will need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, or a Mac or iPad with an M1 chip or newer.

Generative AI has been a hot topic for investors, and Apple’s foray into this technology with its own strategy has further fueled the stock price increase. Siri’s improved language understanding and per-app controls are part of the Apple Intelligence suite.

Apple’s market cap now stands at $3.28 trillion, surpassing Microsoft’s $3.25 trillion. The battle for the top spot between these tech giants is ongoing, with fluctuations expected throughout the trading day.

With the unveiling of iOS 18 at WWDC, Apple continues to push the boundaries of customization and user experience on its devices. The new update brings features like Dark Mode for app icons, customizable tinting options, and the ability to freely rearrange apps on the Home Screen.
