Anthony Alfredo and Beard Motorsports Return to NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega Superspeedway

NASCAR fans are in for a treat this weekend as Anthony Alfredo and Beard Motorsports are making a comeback at the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. This race marks their return to the track since the Daytona 500 earlier in the season.

The GEICO 500 is scheduled to be a thrilling 188-lap event at the iconic Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. This race is highly anticipated as it will feature teams and drivers who have been absent from NASCAR’s top level since February.

Beard Motorsports, one of the teams making a comeback, last competed at the season-opening Daytona 500. They are bringing back the No. 62 Chevrolet for this weekend’s race, with Anthony Alfredo once again taking the wheel. Alfredo previously showcased his skills by moving up from 39th to 27th place in the Daytona 500.

Unlike Live Fast Motorsports and B.J. McLeod, the other returning team and driver for the GEICO 500, Beard Motorsports and Alfredo did not participate in the Atlanta Motor Speedway race, which was the second event of the season and the only other superspeedway race held so far.

Alfredo, who competes full-time in the Xfinity Series for Our Motorsports, has been having a successful season with three top 10 finishes in eight races. This performance has placed him in 13th position in the point standings. The talented 25-year-old driver from Ridgefield, Connecticut has only made three Cup Series starts since the beginning of the season.
