American Society of Cinematographers Awards Nominations Announced

Several highly acclaimed films, including ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Maestro,’ and ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’ have been nominated for the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers Awards. The nominations for feature film, documentary, and television cinematography showcase the organization’s recognition of outstanding visual storytelling.

The feature film category includes nominations for ‘El Conde’ by Edward Lachman, and ‘Poor Things’ by Robbie Ryan, alongside ‘Maestro,’ ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’ and ‘Oppenheimer.’ In the television category, ‘The Bear,’ ‘Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,’ and ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ have secured nominations.

Notably, last year’s feature film winner, Mandy Walker, made history as the first woman to win the ASC Award for her work on ‘Elvis.’ However, she did not clinch the cinematography Oscar, which was awarded to ‘All Quiet on the Western Front.’ Nevertheless, seven of the past 11 ASC winners went on to win the Oscar for best cinematography.
