Alan Wake, the best-selling author, has finally joined Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight as the latest Survivor, marking the arrival of the long-awaited Tome 18: Revision. The game’s fans have been eagerly anticipating this moment, as Alan Wake’s story takes a thrilling turn within the Dead by Daylight universe.
Alan Wake’s journey into The Fog begins with a case of writer’s block, leading him to Bright Falls. However, instead of finding inspiration, he becomes embroiled in a nightmarish series of events that culminate in his imprisonment in the enigmatic Dark Place. In an attempt to escape this nightmarish realm, Alan recalls a script he wrote about a terrifying place enveloped in fog, ultimately shaping his reality as he is drawn into The Entity’s Realm and the universe of Dead by Daylight, transitioning from one Dark Place to another.
Mathieu Coté, Head of Partnerships at Behaviour Interactive, expresses excitement about Alan Wake’s integration into Dead by Daylight, stating, “We’re thrilled for Alan Wake to finally be coming to The Fog as a Survivor. It has always been clear to us that Alan was a natural fit for the Dead by Daylight universe. Both of our games draw from mutual inspiration and are celebrations of the horror icons that came before them. We’re excited to see how players react to his new nightmare—it seems like Alan can’t catch a break.”
To aid Alan in his survival, he possesses three unique Perks: Champion of Light, Boon: Illumination, and Deadline. Champion of Light enhances players’ movement speed while using a Flashlight, Boon: Illumination enables Alan to create a Boon Totem, granting nearby Survivors the ability to see the Auras of Generators, and Deadline provides additional benefits to Alan’s gameplay.
