HAYES Performance Systems Introduces New Manitou Mattoc Pro Limited Edition Fork

HAYES Performance Systems has introduced the new Manitou Mattoc Pro Limited Edition fork, which pays homage to the 1990s with its retro graphics while incorporating modern features. The fork is designed with 34mm stanchions to accommodate 29-inch wheels.

The Mattoc Pro LE comes with a standard 140mm travel configuration, but it offers easy adjustment for 110-150mm travel. Weighing 1,750 grams, the fork boasts enhanced stiffness due to its reverse arch design, providing 13% more stiffness compared to a forward-arch fork of equivalent weight. Additionally, the integrated arch features three threaded bosses for attaching the included fender.

The polished crown of the fork is heavily machined both internally and externally. The Hexlock design of the axle increases the contact area and limits rotation at the hub interface, further enhancing the chassis stiffness. The Hexlock SL2 axle, featuring additional machining and an aluminum bolt, is aimed at reducing weight.

Featuring the Dorado Air system, which was initially introduced in downhill applications, the fork now incorporates this system in all of Manitou’s Pro level suspension. This system equalizes the positive and negative air chambers, creating a consistent feel with supple initial response and highly tunable mid and end stroke support.

The fork also includes a sealed damper offering external high and low-speed compression adjustment. Additionally, it utilizes a Hydraulic Bottom-Out – a separate hydraulic circuit activated during the final 30mm of the compression stroke to control the largest hits.

The special edition Mattoc Pro finish will be available in very limited quantities, according to the company.

More information about the Manitou Mattoc Pro Limited Edition fork can be found on the official website of HAYES Performance Systems.
