iFi Audio, known for its exceptional DACs, has introduced its latest innovation, the GO Bar Kensei. This new product is designed to transform smartphones and computers into high-end audio systems, offering a unique blend of artistry and Japanese swordsmanship with cutting-edge audio technology.

The GO Bar Kensei, named after the Japanese honorary title bestowed on a legendary warrior, merges K2HD technology, developed by JVCKENWOOD’s sound engineers, to restore music to its original quality. This technology aims to revive the rich, natural harmonics lost during digitalization, similar to the concept behind MQA, the Master Quality Authenticated format.

Capable of handling digital audio files up to 384kHz, DSD256 (12.3MHz), and full MQA decoding, the GO Bar Kensei offers a tailored and personal experience for listeners. It features four digital filter options, XBass+, and XSpace options to create accurate bass response and a spacious sound field.

With enhanced power output and clock circuitry, the GO Bar Kensei promises a wider soundstage, detailed projection, and robust bass. It also boasts a 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced output, a symmetrical twin-mono output stage, and a 477mW maximum output power. Additionally, iFi’s iEMatch technology fine-tunes the output levels to match sensitive IEMs, while Turbo Mode boosts output by 6dB for driving more difficult headphones.

Crafted from Japanese stainless steel, the GO Bar Kensei is inspired by the ancient craftsmanship of a Kensei legendary blade, offering high-end sound in a portable DAC. The product is set to be available from March 19, 2024, at a price of $449 / £449 / €449 from selected retailers.
