Elon Musk Reveals Prescription Ketamine Use for Managing Depressive Episodes

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently revealed in an interview that he uses prescription ketamine to manage his occasional depressive episodes. Musk claimed that taking the drug has been beneficial for investors in his companies, suggesting that it helps him stay in a positive frame of mind.

During the interview with former CNN anchor Don Lemon, Musk mentioned that he takes a small amount of ketamine once every other week or sometimes less frequently to address the chemical tides that contribute to his depression. He emphasized that ketamine has been helpful for lifting him out of a negative state of mind.

When asked whether his ketamine use could impact his government contracts and standing on Wall Street, Musk stated that, from an investor standpoint, what matters is execution and the value being built for investors. He highlighted Tesla’s valuation and sales, indicating that if something he’s taking is beneficial, he should continue taking it.

Musk also expressed his initial mention of prescription ketamine use as a potential way to help others. The interview was posted online following an announcement that Musk had canceled a deal for a new talk show on X, just hours after a tense interview at Tesla headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Despite the canceled deal, Lemon was still welcome to publish his content on the social media service. This revelation from Musk sheds light on his personal approach to managing mental health and its perceived impact on his role as a business leader.
