Persona 3 Reload, the popular role-playing game, has stirred up controversy with its latest expansion release. Publisher Atlus has announced that the Episode Aigis DLC will only be available as part of the full expansion pass, priced at $35. This decision has sparked mixed reactions among players, especially those on PlayStation and PC platforms.
In a recent statement to Push Square, an Atlus spokesperson confirmed that the Episode Aigis expansion, offering an additional 30 hours of gameplay, will not be sold separately. Instead, it will only be accessible to players who purchase the complete expansion pass, which also includes background music from Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal, along with extra costumes.
While Xbox Game Pass subscribers will receive the expansion pass as part of their subscription, PlayStation and PC users will need to shell out the full $35 to access the new content. Notably, the expansion pass does not cover any previously released downloadable content, such as costumes and additional in-game items.
This move has raised concerns among the gaming community, with many expressing disappointment over the mandatory purchase of the entire expansion pass to enjoy the Episode Aigis DLC. As the debate continues, players are eager to see how Atlus will address the feedback and whether any changes will be made to the distribution of the highly anticipated expansion.
