General Motors has unveiled two new limited edition models of the Chevrolet Corvette exclusively for the Japanese market. The Edition CERV I and Heritage Edition pay homage to the iconic American sports car’s history, with only 40 units of each model set to be produced, all in right-hand-drive configuration.
The Edition CERV I draws inspiration from the first Chevrolet Experimental Research Vehicle (CERV) in 1959, developed by Zora Arkus-Duntov, known as the father of the Corvette. The new CERV I Edition of the C8 Corvette features blue stripes on a Silver Flare Metallic shade, Edge Yellow brake calipers, and a Jet Black and Navy Blue interior.
On the other hand, the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Heritage Edition is a tribute to the first generation of the American sportscar, with design elements referencing the 1953 C1 Corvette. The Heritage Edition boasts an Adrenaline Red interior and a Seawolf Gray Tri-Coat finish for the exterior, paired with 20-inch forged aluminum wheels in gloss black.
While these special editions do not come with performance upgrades compared to the standard Stingray, they offer Japanese buyers a chance to own a piece of Corvette history with unique design touches.
