Salm Partners LLC Recalls 133,039 Pounds of Turkey Kielbasa Due to Potential Contamination

Salm Partners LLC of Denmark, WI, has issued a recall for 133,039 pounds of ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products due to potential contamination with extraneous materials, specifically bone fragments. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement following consumer complaints regarding the presence of bone fragments in the product.

The affected turkey kielbasa items, produced on Oct. 27, 2023, and Oct. 30, 2023, with use-by dates of April 24 and April 27, 2024, have raised concerns about their presence in consumers’ homes. The recall applies to 13-oz. plastic vacuum-sealed packages containing “PARKVIEW TURKEY POLSKA KIELBASA” with establishment number “P-32009” and the respective use-by dates printed on the package. These products were distributed to retail locations nationwide.

The issue came to light after Salm Partners LLC notified FSIS of consumer complaints regarding bone fragments in the turkey kielbasa. Additionally, FSIS received two consumer complaints on the same matter. While one minor oral injury associated with the consumption of the product has been reported, there have been no further reports of injury or illness related to these products. Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled products and to either discard them or return them to the place of purchase.

For further information, consumers can contact Keith Lindsey, president/CEO, Salm Partners LLC, at 920-863-5559 Ext. 1346. The retail distribution list(s) will be available on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls when released.
