Dweezil Zappa, son of legendary rocker Frank Zappa, has announced his first nationwide tour since 2020, set to kick off on August 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, and wrapping up in mid-September in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The tour, which marks Dweezil’s return to the stage after over four years, will also include performances in Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Tarrytown, New York, and more.
Expressing his excitement for the upcoming tour, Dweezil said, ‘I’m happy to be bringing the music of my father back to the stage for the first time in over four years and appreciate Universal for helping create awareness to Zappa fans all over the world.’
The tour coincides with the 50th anniversary of the release of Frank Zappa’s celebrated live disc, The Roxy Performances, featuring a quartet of concerts from the newly opened Roxy Theatre on LA’s Sunset Strip in 1973. This collection is renowned for delivering extraordinary performances of songs old and new, showcasing Zappa’s virtuoso skills and legendary panache as rock’s foremost bandleader.
