NBA 2K24 Joins Xbox Game Pass Lineup

NBA 2K24 is set to join the lineup of games available on Xbox Game Pass, announced by Xbox. The game is scheduled to enter Game Pass on March 11th for console and cloud gaming.

Developed by Visual Concepts and published by Take-Two Interactive, NBA 2K24 marks the 25th anniversary of the NBA 2K series. The game introduces changes to badge progression in MyCareer, salary capping in MyTeam, the giant City, the new animation technology ProPLAY, and seasons.

Reviewing the title closer to its launch, it’s evident that NBA 2K24 presents a marginal improvement from its predecessor. The Women’s NBA mode and MyLeague remain largely unchanged, while the game offers a solid tracklist featuring songs like ‘Bad Habit’ and ‘Rumble’.

The changes made to offensive play are well-received, but the game may favor players with a strong defense build. The new animation system is a notable upgrade, although the lack of a comprehensive tutorial system, especially for the dribble system, remains a concern. The badge system is challenging, requiring focused play to progress, and some aspects of monetization and progression changes may be frustrating for players.

Despite these aspects, NBA 2K24 continues to deliver strong basketball simulation elements. The ‘Mamba Moments’ mode is highlighted as a super cool tribute to an iconic player, and the game remains a popular choice for quickplay with family.

As NBA 2K24 prepares to join Xbox Game Pass, the community is buzzing with anticipation. Are you planning to download NBA 2K24 on Xbox? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
