The Sedona MTB Festival has returned for 2024, and this time around, the weather is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Instead of facing snow and unrideable trails, attendees are now greeted with ideal dirt and sunny skies, creating an experience akin to a mini Sea Otter event with the added bonus of thrilling, technical riding opportunities in nearly every direction.
Brands of all sizes have set up booths to showcase their latest products, offering a diverse range of items from handmade bikepacking bags to a belt-driven, gearbox-equipped enduro bike. While it may not have as many fascinating components compared to other cycling events, there are still noteworthy discoveries to be made at this gathering in Arizona.
For instance, the Reeb Steezl features a silver bracket drop that enables the use of a shorter shock, reducing the travel from 155mm to 140mm for riders seeking a more aggressive trail bike. This mount will be available as an aftermarket item in the future. Additionally, Reeb presented a prototype steel hardtail, aiming to create a versatile trail hardtail with the details still in the prototype stage.
Oddity’s Colorado-made titanium handlebars and Rogue Panda’s new handlebar bag mount, machined in Flagstaff, Arizona, are also among the intriguing products showcased at the festival. Meanwhile, Revel celebrated its fifth anniversary with a golden Rascal taking the center stage in their booth. Ergon’s new GDH Team grip, developed with input from renowned athletes, and Rocket Ramps’ custom ramp options for backyard air bag enthusiasts were also featured at the event.
Overall, the Sedona MTB Festival for 2024 has proven to be a hub for both established and emerging brands to unveil their latest innovations and connect with the mountain biking community, offering attendees a glimpse into the evolving landscape of cycling technology and gear.
