Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths and Mortals

Fortnite Battle Royale is set to launch its all-new season, Chapter 5 Season 2, titled Myths & Mortals, this week. The highly anticipated new season is based on Greek mythology, featuring main skins inspired by Poseidon, Zeus, Hades, and Athena.

Developed by Epic Games and released in 2017, Fortnite engages 100 players in head-to-head mortal combat to determine the last one standing. Players begin by skydiving onto an island, equipped with an ax, and must scavenge for weapons while evading an electrical storm. As the game progresses and players are eliminated, the play area shrinks, and updates are provided on how each elimination occurred. Fortnite offers three play modes: solo, duo, and squad mode, allowing players to team up.

The upcoming season is shrouded in mystery, with the only known details being the Greek mythology theme and the main skins representing iconic mythological figures. During a recent live event, the community opened Pandora’s Box, unleashing all the evils trapped inside. Teasers on Instagram and X suggest a potential conflict between Olympus and the Underworld in the new season.

The ongoing Fortnite live event commenced on Tuesday, Feb. 27, marked by earthquakes and the emergence of cracks and a Titan Hand with Pandora’s Box. Players collectively dealt about 5 trillion damage to free the chest within 24 hours, resulting in the release of evils into the world.

As the Fortnite community eagerly awaits the launch of Chapter 5 Season 2, the excitement surrounding the new Greek mythology theme and potential in-game conflicts continues to grow.
