Gary Allan and Molly Martin recently tied the knot in a spontaneous and intimate ceremony at the Sumner County mayor’s office in Gallatin, Tenn. The couple, engaged for over two years, decided to seize the moment and exchange vows with only Mayor John C. Isbell as the officiant and a photographer as witnesses.
Allan expressed their decision to marry, stating, “Molly and I had been trying to find the right time and the right spot to get married, and we just decided the time was now. We just didn’t want to keep waiting. We may still do a bigger celebration later on, but for now, we are happy to be husband and wife.” The couple opted for a low-key celebration that perfectly reflected their relationship, culminating in a private ceremony near their home followed by a dinner and drinks with a small group of close friends.
Despite the spontaneity of the event, the couple incorporated elements of bridal elegance into the ceremony. Martin donned a classic, plunging Yves Saint Laurent gown and 1990s-era vintage earrings, while Allan looked dashing in a black Roberto Cavelli suit.
Allan had announced his engagement to Martin in December 2021, sharing a series of photos capturing his outdoor winter proposal. The couple celebrated with champagne under twinkling string lights and a chandelier upon her acceptance of the proposal.
Notably, this marks Allan’s fourth marriage. He was previously married to Tracy Taylor, with whom he shares three children, before subsequent marriages and divorces in the late ’90s. In 2001, he tied the knot for the fourth time, this time with Martin.
