The latest expansion of World of Warcraft, The War Within, is introducing an exciting new feature called Hero Talents. These talents are set to revolutionize character progression for each class specialization, offering new powers and class fantasies. Blizzard Entertainment is seeking feedback from the community to ensure that this update is impactful and enjoyable for players.
What Are Hero Talents?
Hero Talents are self-contained talent trees that become accessible to players at level 71. They build upon the existing abilities and talents of current classes and specializations. Players can choose a single Hero Talent tree to activate on a character and have the flexibility to change these talents, similar to the current class talents in the game. Each class has three Hero Talent tree options, except for druids, who have four, and demon hunters, who have two.
What to Expect from Hero Talents
Each Hero Talent tree begins with a “keystone” talent that introduces the core mechanic and concept of the tree. This could be a new ability, an enhancement to an existing ability or cooldown, or a new buff that can be triggered. The bottom talent of each tree is a “capstone” talent that further develops the core themes of the tree or adds new power to the keystone.
Maintaining Freedom to Choose
Players will have the freedom to choose a Hero Talent tree that aligns with their playstyle and preferences. With each specialization having two Hero Talent trees to choose from, and each of these trees being available as an option for two specializations, there is ample room for customization and personalization.
