Verizon mobile phone customers experienced a service outage on Friday afternoon, leaving them unable to make or receive calls for at least an hour. The issue affected customers across various states, with reports of the outage spiking at 11:45 a.m. Users from population centers across the country complained of the disruption.
According to a Verizon spokesperson, the company was aware of the issue impacting service for some customers in parts of Oregon. The spokesperson assured that their engineers were working quickly to identify and resolve the issue.
Complaints began to surface on the social media platform X shortly before noon, prompting Verizon to address the problem. The website DownDetector also saw a surge in outage reports during the same time frame.
Fortunately, the issue started to resolve for some Verizon customers just before 1 p.m., bringing relief to those affected.
