Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson’s Decision to Give Their Son Both of Their Last Names

Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson, the proud parents of 15-month-old son Sidney, recently made a significant decision regarding their child’s last name. In a candid revelation on The Osbournes Podcast, Kelly shared that the biggest fight she had with her son’s father was over their child’s last name.

Expressing her desire for their son to have both of their last names, Kelly revealed that this had sparked a major disagreement with Sid. She described it as the ‘biggest fight’ they had ever had and emphasized feeling forced into a decision she didn’t want to make. However, after engaging in eye-opening conversations and couples therapy, they reached a resolution. Kelly announced that they would legally change their son’s name to include both of their last names.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Kelly’s parents, showed their support for the decision, with Ozzy acknowledging that it was in their son’s favor. Kelly emphasized that since both of them had contributed to creating their child, it was only fair for him to have both of their last names.

Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson’s journey as a couple began after 23 years of friendship, transitioning from platonic to romantic in 2022. Following their announcement of expecting their first child together, they welcomed their son, Sidney, in November 2022. Kelly shared the first photo of her son in June 2023.

The couple’s decision to give their son both of their last names reflects their commitment to honoring their respective family identities. It also underscores the importance of open communication and compromise in co-parenting, as they navigated through a significant and personal aspect of their son’s identity.
