Something Corporate Announces First Tour in Over 20 Years

Andrew McMahon, the frontman of Something Corporate, has announced the band’s first tour in over 20 years. The SoCal pop-punk band, which reunited for a few shows last year, is set to kick off their 2024 tour in New York City on June 21.

The original lineup, including Andrew McMahon, lead guitarist Josh Partington, bassist Kevin Page, drummer Brian Ireland, and guitarist William Tell, will be hitting the road for the much-anticipated tour. Fans can expect the tickets to go on sale starting March 1.

This tour marks Something Corporate’s return following their hiatus in 2005. Andrew McMahon, who went on to form Jack’s Mannequin and his solo outfit, the Wilderness, has expressed his excitement about the reunion. In an exclusive interview, McMahon shared insights about the tour, the fan favorite ‘Konstantine,’ and the nostalgia of pop-punk.

McMahon revealed that the idea to reunite came about organically. He recalled a pivotal moment during his 40th birthday when he was on tour with Chris Carrabba from Dashboard Confessional. McMahon decided to reconnect with his old friends from Something Corporate, leading to a surprise set at his birthday party.

Excited about the upcoming tour, McMahon emphasized that the band’s performances have evolved with ‘a little more age and blood and sweat and love that has seeped into the arrangements.’ He believes that this has added a polished touch to their set, making it feel more relevant than ever.

Die-hard fans of Something Corporate have been eagerly awaiting this reunion, and with the announcement of the 2024 tour, anticipation is at an all-time high. As the band prepares to hit the stage once again, fans can expect a nostalgic journey through their beloved pop-punk tunes, infused with the raw energy and passion that has defined Something Corporate’s music for over two decades.
