Recent developments in the world of soap operas have left fans stunned as one of daytime television’s most notorious villains met her demise. The Bold and the Beautiful fans were in for a shock when Steffy Forrester stabbed Sheila Carter to death on the Monday, February 26 episode. This marked the end of the reign of terror for the character portrayed by Kimberlin Brown, who has been associated with the role since 1990.
In an exclusive interview, Kimberlin Brown expressed her mixed emotions about the storyline, stating, ‘Well, you know, it’s a tough place for me to be in right now; I’m not going to lie about this. I guess if anyone were going to take Sheila down, I’m happy it’s Steffy. I just wish that no one was taking Sheila down. It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years. But I’ve had a good run at it, so I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s no doubt about it.’
On the other hand, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy, revealed her conflicting feelings upon learning about Sheila’s fate. ‘Well, it’s bittersweet because I absolutely love working with Kimberlin; she is just the consummate professional. She elevates every scene and she’s so creative. For Steffy, hallelujah! This is her moment. How long has it taken Steffy to take her down and it’s finally happening, so it’s going to be a big shock.’
Wood, a three-time Daytime Emmy winner, also hinted at the dramatic material to come, stating, ‘She’s in shock. She’s in a state of mind.’
The unexpected turn of events has left fans eagerly anticipating the aftermath of Sheila’s demise and the impact it will have on the show’s characters.
