The vivo Y100t has been officially unveiled in China, boasting impressive features and a design reminiscent of the iQOO Z8. The new smartphone is equipped with a 64 MP camera, 120W charging capability, and a body that closely resembles the iQOO Z8, which was launched in China back in August 2023. The only noticeable difference is the branding on the back, with the Y100t bearing the ‘vivo’ logo instead of ‘iQOO’.
One of the standout features of the Y100t is its 6.64-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset, paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. On the rear, it sports a 64 MP + 2 MP camera setup, while the front houses a 16 MP selfie shooter within a punch hole.
Market positioning is a key focus for vivo, with the Y100t being positioned as an alternative to the Y100i and Y78t. Notably, it boasts the fastest charging capability among the three, offering 120W charging for its 5,000 mAh battery. Additionally, the phone comes pre-installed with OriginOS 3.
The vivo Y100t will be available in White, Blue, or Black color options and is set to go on sale in China starting February 28. The pricing for the different variants is as follows: CNY 1,499 ($210/€190) for the 8/256 GB model, CNY 1,699 ($235/€220) for the 12/256 GB model, and CNY 1,899 ($265/€245) for the 12/512 GB model.
Overall, the vivo Y100t seems to offer a compelling package for consumers, blending impressive camera capabilities, fast charging, and a high-quality display. With its competitive pricing and feature set, it is poised to make a strong impact in the Chinese smartphone market.
