First Look at LEGO Animal Crossing Sets and Island Display

Just ahead of launch, a first look at every LEGO Animal Crossing set and the entire range combined into one island has surfaced online.

The latest LEGO Nintendo theme is about to release as LEGO Animal Crossing debuts Nintendo minifigures on March 1. Early reviews of the models have been shared online in the run-up to launch, including one that combines every model and more into what may be the first LEGO Animal Crossing island display.

Emmasaurus has offered better views of the five upcoming models and explored how they can be combined with some additional elements, beyond what the LEGO Group has officially advertised.

Game-accurate details

The new LEGO Animal Crossing models feature more functions than was first revealed, including a hidden bell under every rock recreating a feature from the game. Similarly, trees contain hidden compartments for items that can fall when you shake them. It’s not quite as accurate to the games as the rock though as you’ll need to take part of the tree off instead of interacting with it as you would in the games.

The minifigures in the five sets have a slot for a LEGO Friends accessory element including Isabelle in 77049 Isabelle’s House Visit. Her character design means that the accessory must be placed on the side of her head at an angle, so it may not work with the party hat piece. That set’s segment in the review also showcased that as well as the door and windows, the roofs of the LEGO Animal Crossing houses are interchangeable too.

Creating your island

The LEGO Group has officially detailed that the five new LEGO Animal Crossing sets can be combined. The video explores what can be done by mixing the models with additional elements and baseplates, creating a more accurate LEGO Animal Crossing island.

Those with the budget for many more of the Super Mario base pieces and more may be enticed by the impressive island. Even just utilising a few blue and green baseplates could have a major impact on your LEGO Animal Crossing displays.

The five new LEGO Animal Crossing sets launch as the first of the new theme on March 1, 2024, but a now-deleted rumour from 1414falc
