Nintendo has announced the release of Version 7.0.0 for Splatoon 3 on the Switch, bringing a host of exciting changes and additions for players to enjoy. The update includes the highly anticipated Side Order DLC, along with Season and Catalog adjustments, gear enhancements, multiplayer tweaks, and various bug fixes.
Players who have purchased the Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass – Inkopolis & Side Order DLC can now embark on the Side Order story by visiting Inkopolis Square from the train station. Additionally, the update introduces Fresh Season 2024 data, featuring a new catalog with gear, titles, banners, decorations, stickers, and emotes, as well as the addition of 153 pieces of gear to store product lineups.
Marlin Airport, a new battle stage, and Bonerattle Arena, a new Salmon Run stage, have been included in this update. Furthermore, players now have the ability to adjust certain gear, such as glasses, visors, hoodies, sweaters, layered T-shirts, shoes with socks, and caps, by selecting the gear from the Equip screen and pressing the Y Button.
The multiplayer experience has also been enhanced with the addition of two new songs that will play during battles, as well as the introduction of new main weapons and the return of previous weapons. Notable additions to the weapon lineup include the Douser Dualies FF, which offers long flight range for normal shots and a unique Dodge Roll mechanic, and the Recycled Brella 24 Mk I, known for its ability to deal high damage to distant opponents.
