Babar Azam Becomes First Player to Score 3000+ Runs in Pakistan Super League History

Star Pakistani batter Babar Azam, leading Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), made history during Zalmi’s first match of the PSL 2024 against the Quetta Gladiators. The 29-year-old right-handed batter became the first player in Pakistan Super League history to score 3000+ runs.

Babar Azam, the former captain of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, achieved this milestone during his team’s 2024 season opener at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. His 68-run knock from 42 balls marked his record-breaking feat, securing his place as the first batter to score 3000+ runs in the PSL. With 3003 runs to his name in 80 PSL matches played so far, Babar Azam’s accomplishment sets him apart in the league’s history.
