The District 10 high school basketball playoffs are just around the corner, and with the regular season coming to a close, teams are battling it out for their spot in the postseason. As the competition heats up, projections for the playoff schedule are beginning to take shape based on the current standings.
Boys Basketball Class 1A
In the Class 1A bracket, the semifinals are projected to feature Farrell facing off against Youngsville, and Rocky Grove competing against Cochranton. With Farrell’s dominant performance throughout the year, they are on track to secure the top spot. Rocky Grove’s previous victory over Cochranton during the regular season places them as the No. 2 seed, leaving Cochranton at No. 3. The battle for the fourth seed is between Jamestown and Youngsville, with Youngsville holding a better overall record and notable wins against common opponents.
Boys Basketball Class 2A
The Class 2A quarterfinals present an intriguing lineup, with Mercer set to take on Sharpsville, Lakeview facing Erie First Christian, Saegertown competing against Cambridge Springs, and Eisenhower squaring off against Iroquois. Mercer’s strong performance positions them as the top seed, while the competition for the second seed is between Lakeview and Saegertown. Despite Saegertown leading in their region, Lakeview’s victories over common opponents give them a slight edge, securing the No. 2 seed. With Saegertown at No. 3 and Eisenhower and Cambridge Springs vying for the next position, the competition remains intense as the regular season draws to a close.
